Are you weary – a sermon for Trinity Sunday
Are you weary? In Isaiah 40, the profit brings us assurance that God is bigger, stronger and more glorious than all that assails us, and yet he offers his strength to us, small though we may feel. His strength is not for him alone but for us, encapsulated in our human weakness in the person of Jesus and made real to us now by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
